Know how to get much better yield of wheat in Tunisia

Jendouba, Tunisia (August 16, 2016) – The production of wheat seed in Tunisia suffers from major problems in terms of yield, quality and production costs. The aim of this study is to evaluate the effects of ferti-activator Sanbio EPSOMIT on productivity and production costs on cereals varieties ´Mâali´ and ´Mahmoudi´.

This project is being carried out as part of the cooperation between HENCHIR REBIAA SARL – Tunisia, SGDAI General Society for Agricultural and Industrial Development – Tunisia and SANBOS GmbH – Germany.

4. Conclusion

Sanbio EPSOMIT has shown very positive effects on plants and production. A few weeks after the first application of Sanbio EPSOMIT we found good vegetation, growth and vigor of plants in plots treated by Sanbio EPSOMIT relative to the control plot. After a single application of 1 kg of Sanbio EPSOMIT in experimental lots we increased the production of Mâali +20.5 q/ha (+57,7%), Mahmoudi +3.5 q/ha (+20,0%) and Triticale +1.5 q/ha (+5,5%) compared to control lot. The return-of-investment (ROI) for Mâali is 1:4.5. The seed quality of all plots treated by Sanbio EPSOMIT is better than that of the control lot.
